Graduate Students
Sarah Flores: I am pursuing a PhD in Social Psychology. My main research focus is on judgment and decision making but I am also interested in identity formation as well as unconscious bias.
Shane Bench: I am originally from Salt Lake City, Utah. My research interests include emotion and emotion regulation, judgment and decision making, and altruism.
Kathleen Darbor: I went to undergrad at UofM before coming here to start my work on a PhD in Social Psychology. I am interested in research on emotion, judgment and decision making, and self regulation, especially in regard to consumer behavior.
Research Assistants
Khang Tran: I’m a junior psychology major with a creative studies minor planning to graduate in Spring of 2013. I’m planning on going to graduate school for Industrial/Organizational psychology. This is going to be my third semester in Dr. Lench’s lab. One of my goals is to develop a test that can reliably test the creativity of potential employees along with a test that can better predict a person’s compatibility with an employer.
Kelsey Walker: Howdy! I am a Junior psychology major from Jasper, Tx with plans to graduate in May of 2013. After graduation I plan on going to grad school to pursue a masters in educational counseling. Thanks and gig ‘em!
Natalie Chipinski: Howdy! I am a junior psychology major from Sugar Land, Texas. I am interested in going to graduate school for Counseling Psychology. This is my second semester working in Dr. Lench’s lab, and I have already gained valuable research experience. I am looking forward to continuing my work in the lab this semester!
Talya Lazerus: Howdy! I am a senior psychology major with a neuroscience minor from Houston, TX. I am planning on graduating in May of 2012 and am currently looking into Ph.D. social psychology programs. My research interests include: emotion, intuition, and decision making from a dual process perspective.
